What is Trailer pool in freight?
A trailer pool is a set of trailers a carrier keeps stationed at a customer's facility so loading can happen without a tractor present. It is what makes drop trailer programs work at volume. Maintaining a pool is a capital commitment, so it is normally tied to a dedicated award rather than to spot freight.
