From the operations floor, not a pitch deck
Connor did not study freight brokerages from the outside. He worked in one. Over twelve years in the business he sat in the seats FreightScout now serves: prospecting shippers, pricing lanes, covering loads, working carriers, and watching where the margin actually leaks. He helped scale a freight brokerage agency into nine figures in annual revenue, and the workflows inside FreightScout exist because he ran them by hand first.
That operating history is the product thesis. Every agent in FreightScout automates a job Connor either did himself or managed someone doing: the research before a cold call, the data entry after a check call, the follow-up that slips at five o'clock on a Friday, the institutional knowledge that walks out the door when a top rep leaves. The system is built by operators and validated by reps, not designed around what looks good in a demo.
