What is Stop off in freight?
A stop off is an additional pickup or delivery between the first origin and the final destination, and it carries its own charge. Each extra stop costs the carrier time, fuel, and hours of service, so it is priced separately from the line haul. Multi stop loads are also where paperwork most often goes wrong, because each stop needs its own signed proof of delivery.
