What is Carrier scorecard in freight?

A carrier scorecard is the periodic report a shipper or broker uses to grade a carrier on acceptance, on time performance, tracking compliance, and claims. It is the basis for award decisions at the next bid. A scorecard that measures only the carrier and never the facility tends to blame carriers for problems the network created.
