What is Facility score in freight?

A facility score is a rating of how easy a shipping or receiving location is for drivers, built from dwell time, appointment reliability, parking, and driver feedback. Carriers use it to decide which loads to accept, so a poorly rated facility pays more for the same lane. It is one of the few places where the driver experience feeds directly back into price.

Also called: shipper score, facility rating.
