What is Pallet in freight?
A pallet is the standard platform freight is stacked and strapped onto so it can be moved by forklift. Standard footprints allow a predictable number per trailer, which is how trailer capacity is usually estimated. Pallet counts and whether pallets can be stacked are core inputs to both LTL classification and truckload capacity planning.
