What is Freight class in freight?
Freight class is the LTL classification that determines how a shipment is rated, based on density, stowability, handling, and liability. Classes run from the densest and easiest to handle up to the lightest and most fragile, with lower classes costing less to ship. Misclassifying freight is the most common cause of an LTL invoice differing from the quote.
