What is Roadside inspection in freight?
A roadside inspection is an examination of a commercial vehicle and its driver against federal safety standards. Inspection levels range from a full vehicle and driver examination down to a documents only check. Violations found feed the carrier's CSA scores whether or not the vehicle is placed out of service.
