What is Freight forwarder in freight?

A freight forwarder arranges international shipping on a shipper's behalf, handling booking, documentation, and customs coordination across ocean, air, and inland legs. Unlike a domestic broker, a forwarder often takes possession of the goods and issues its own bill of lading. Forwarders and brokers overlap where international freight moves inland by truck.
