What is API integration in freight?
An API integration is a direct system to system connection that exchanges freight data in real time, as an alternative to batch EDI. It is how modern rating, tracking, and booking tools connect to a TMS. APIs are faster and easier to change than EDI but are not yet the standard interface for large enterprise shippers.
