Freight AI

Freight AI, for a brokerage, is a coworker on the TMS you already run. FreightScout builds AI coworkers for freight brokerages. Scout runs the carrier calls, check calls, quoting and exceptions that eat a rep's day, on top of the broker's existing TMS, so the same team handles more freight. It is not a chatbot, not a tracking ping, and not a load board. The load stays in your system of record.

Freight AI is a wide phrase. The buyer is not.

People type freight AI and mean five different products. A shipper wants a tendering tool. A carrier wants dispatch help. A visibility vendor wants a map. A generic chat product wants a prompt. A brokerage wants the day back: the tender built, the truck covered, the check call made, the exception on a person.

This page is the brokerage meaning. If you run a brokerage or an agency, freight AI is the overlay that does operational work and writes it back. If you are buying a TMS, this is the wrong page. If you are buying a place to post trucks, this is the wrong page. FreightScout does not replace either of those. It sits on the TMS and does the work the TMS was never going to dial for you.

What has to be true before it counts

Freight AI that cannot touch the tender, the rate, the carrier, the check call, the exception, and the path to the invoice is a side panel. The load still lives in the TMS. The phone is still in the rep's hand. The note still gets typed at the end of the day, if it gets typed.

The standard is a change in state. A tender becomes a load. A carrier offer inside your ceiling becomes a booking. A check call becomes a log line. An exception becomes a named owner. Freight AI that only narrates those events is a report. Reports are useful at the Monday meeting. They do not cover Friday's freight.

FreightScout is built to the state-change standard. Sales work runs in production today. Load building, carrier booking, and check calls run supervised on live freight at a working brokerage. Billing starts supervised and turns on when that floor says so. The product cites the load, the lane, and the margin. It does not invent a figure to fill a sentence.

Chat is not freight AI

A chat window can define a term, draft a sentence, or summarize an email you paste in. That is a tool on a laptop. It does not know your book unless you feed it, and a paste is not a system of record. The moment the answer has to become a load, a rate, or a call, the chat window hands the work back to the person who was trying to get out of it.

Freight AI for a brokerage has to live where the work lives: the TMS, the inbox, the phone, EDI, and tracking. Scout is the layer you talk to in plain language, and the same product does the job. You do not copy a paragraph out of a chat box and into McLeod, Aljex, or Tai. The write-back is the product.

A map ping is not freight AI

Knowing a truck is on a map is not the same as running the check call. Visibility tells you a location. It does not ask the driver the question your customer is about to ask, and it does not log the answer in the shape your TMS expects. When the ping goes stale, someone still has to dial.

FreightScout's check calls are voice on the healthy path, with an escalation when the path is not healthy: no answer, detention, a mechanical problem, a shipper who wants a person. The check call page is the job-level version. What is an AI check call is the short definition. Freight AI includes that job. It is not limited to it.

Quoting is part of freight AI

A brokerage quote is not a generic price. It is a lane, a piece of equipment, a customer, and a margin you have actually run. Freight AI that produces a rate with no cite is a liability. Scout prices from the book and shows the history it used. Thin history goes to a person. The rep still decides the messy one. The blank page goes away on the lanes you already know.

That is also the defense against a confident wrong number. The floor has been burned by software that sounded sure. The refusal to guess is the point. If the book does not support the quote, the coworker says so.

The overlay, named plainly

Freight AI does not require a new home for the load. McLeod, Aljex, and Tai stay the record when those are what you run. FreightScout sits on top. Mailbox, phone, tracking, EDI, and carrier vetting connect. Some rate and load-board sources connect when you ask for them. The TMS overlay page is the direct version of this claim, including the pages for McLeod, Aljex, and Tai.

Call it an execution layer if you want the category word. Call it agents if you want the worker word. Call it freight AI if that is what you typed into the search box. The product is the same: one login, the whole load, the TMS you keep.

Supervised, then the dial

Freight AI that acts with no record will not survive a week on a serious floor. The first setting is supervised. A person says yes before the action leaves. The job that hurts most goes on first. When that job has earned trust, the floor moves it to autopilot. Autopilot is reversible. The audit trail still says who did the work, what wrote back, and who approved the change in posture.

That is not a trial mode you forget to turn off. It is how a brokerage puts a coworker on live freight without betting the book on day one.

Who keeps the judgment

The same team handles more freight. Freight AI takes the retype, the healthy-path dial, and the follow-up that was slipping. A players keep the account, the recovery, and the call that was never routine. The gap that was already on the floor becomes easier to see, because the repetitive motion is no longer hiding it.

Exceptions are designed, not accidental. A bad reference, a split stop, or a rate that does not match the tender pauses before the load commits. Pay above the ceiling you set waits for a person. Detention and a hot shipper wait for a person. The healthy path does not.

How the rest of the site splits the phrase

AI for freight brokerage is this idea aimed at the company. Freight broker AI is the same idea aimed at the rep's day. AI freight broker software is what to demand in a buying conversation. Freight brokerage automation is which jobs to put on the dial first. AI carrier sales is cover, specifically. The platform walks the load from first touch to invoice. Pricing is commercial. Proof holds the live facts. What FreightScout is is the short citation.

A brokerage day, from the freight AI seat

The inbox opens with tenders and one-off rate requests. Freight AI that is actually connected reads the clean ones into the TMS and holds the broken ones. The rep starts the day on the holds and the customers, not on retyping a PDF that was fine.

A customer asks for a rate on a lane you have run. The history is there. The quote comes back with the lane and the margin attached, and the rep changes what the relationship requires. A lane you have never run does not get a costume of confidence. It gets a person.

Cover starts because the load is real. Carriers that fit are contacted across the open board, not one at a time while the rest age. The ceiling is the floor's number, not the software's. A booking inside the ceiling writes back. A booking that would break the ceiling waits.

The afternoon is status. Healthy loads get a check call and a log. The load that went quiet gets a person, with the last known fact already in the record so the person is not starting from zero. The customer hears from the brokerage before they have to chase.

None of that is a model talking about freight. It is freight AI doing brokerage work, on systems the floor already opens every morning.

What FreightScout will not pretend

It will not pretend to be your TMS. It will not pretend to be a load board. It will not pretend a chat transcript is a booking. It will not invent a ROI, a star rating, or a load count on this page. The facts that are allowed to be cited live on proof, and the price lives on pricing. A demo is where you watch one of your jobs run supervised.

The founder spent twelve years on a brokerage floor and scaled an agency into nine figures. That is why the product is shaped like a floor and not like a slide. It is context, not a statistic about your book.

Departments, still one product

Customer sales finds freight and keeps it. Carrier sales covers it. Customer ops builds, tracks, and handles the exception. Billing closes the paperwork. Freight AI that only does one of those leaves the swivel chair in place. FreightScout is one product across them, which is why customer sales, carrier sales, customer ops, and billing are pages inside the same login.

Questions people actually ask

What is freight AI?

Freight AI, for a brokerage, is a coworker on the TMS you already run. It builds loads, covers them, runs check calls, quotes from your history, and puts exceptions on a person. FreightScout is that product. It is not a TMS, not a load board, and not a chat window you copy out of.

Is freight AI the same as a visibility tool?

No. A map shows a location. Freight AI has to make the check call, log it, and escalate when the load is not healthy. Visibility can be an input. It is not the work.

Is freight AI a chatbot?

A chatbot answers. Freight AI changes the state of the work and writes that state back to your TMS. If you still have to retype the answer, you bought a chatbot.

Does freight AI replace a TMS?

No. The TMS stays the system of record. FreightScout sits on McLeod, Aljex, Tai, or the stack you already run, and writes results back.

What jobs are live?

Sales work runs in production. Load building, carrier booking, and check calls run supervised on live freight at a working brokerage. Billing starts supervised and turns on when you say so.

Will it make up a rate?

No. A quote cites your load, lane, and margin. If the history is thin, a person prices it.

How do I start?

Pick the job that hurts. Run it supervised, with a yes before the action leaves. Move it to autopilot when the floor is ready. The change is reversible and the audit trail remains.

Where is the price?

On the pricing page. This page does not repeat a figure. Proof of what runs is on proof.

Most freight software watches the business. FreightScout wins freight and then runs it.
