What is Residential delivery in freight?
Residential delivery is a charge applied when freight is delivered to a home rather than a commercial address. It reflects the slower access, the absence of a dock, and the frequent need for a liftgate and an appointment. Classification disputes are common because a business run from a house may be billed as residential.
