Before the full rate confirmation opens

The carrier signs an acceptance page that shows cities and states only, and the full rate confirmation opens after that.

The acceptance page

Aljex's automatic rate confirmation article describes a dispatch module that starts with an email to the carrier. The carrier lands on a page with cities and states only, with no shipper name and no street. The broker can require a driver cell, an ETA, and a truck and trailer number before the signature.

After the e-sign, the full rate confirmation goes into the TMS, with pickup and delivery addresses, reference numbers, and contacts. The broker gets an email that it was signed, and the update lands on the dispatch screen.

What gets booked

FreightScout books the truck that signs that page. The shipper name stays off the acceptance page, and the addresses arrive only with the full rate confirmation. FreightScout negotiates the rate on that acceptance page up to the max pay the broker sets and never above it. Cover writes the booked carrier, the agreed rate and the load back, and the dispatch screen is where that update shows. Aljex stays the system of record after the signature.

Questions buyers ask

What if a required field is still empty?

The full rate confirmation stays closed until those fields are in, and releasing a carrier that does not clear takes a person, on record.

What if the truck falls off after the signature?

If a truck falls off, one click re-covers the load on every channel, and the replacement signs a new acceptance page before the next rate confirmation opens.
