Freight brokerage software
Freight brokerage software is two layers: the TMS that records the load, and an AI layer that does the work on it. FreightScout is the second layer on McLeod, Aljex or Tai. The TMS stays the system of record. FreightScout is not a TMS. To choose, ask whether it writes back to the TMS you already run, whether Build, Cover, Track, and Bill are live and supervised by default, and whether you can switch booking and outreach to autopilot.
A brokerage already has a place the load lives. McLeod, Aljex, or Tai is that place for most of the floors this product sits on. Freight brokerage software that asks you to move the book is a second system of record. FreightScout does not ask for that. It reads the load where it is and writes the result back.
How to choose
- Keep the record where it is. If the demo starts with a migration, you are looking at a TMS, not an AI layer.
- Ask what changes on the load. Build turns the tender into a load. Cover vets authority and insurance, then books inside your max pay. Track dials the check call and logs it. Bill sends the invoice with the POD and chases the payment. All four are live and supervised by default, including invoicing and collections.
- Ask who says yes. Booking and shipper outreach run supervised by default. A broker can switch either one to autopilot, per team and per action. Every action is logged and reversible.
- Ask where the price comes from. Spot and contract quotes come off your own lane history. A lane you have never run does not get an invented rate.
- Read the price where it is published. Plans, and what three seats include, are on the pricing page.
The same team handles more freight because the repeat work is no longer the whole day. The account, the exception, and the rate outside the ceiling stay with your people.
What stays with your people
Build, Cover, Track, and Bill are all live and supervised by default, including invoicing and collections. Your people still own the account, the exception, and any call you would not hand off. Booking the carrier and shipper outreach run supervised by default. A broker can switch either one to autopilot whenever they want, per team and per action. Every action is logged and reversible.
What it does not do
FreightScout is not a TMS and it is not a load board. It is not a broker and it is not a carrier. FreightScout does not replace your load board or your accounting system. It does not invent a rate or a detention amount. A number over your max pay goes to a person.

Questions people actually ask
What is freight brokerage software?
Freight brokerage software is two layers: the TMS that records the load, and an AI layer that does the work on it. FreightScout is the second layer on McLeod, Aljex or Tai. It is not a TMS.
Does FreightScout replace my TMS?
No. McLeod, Aljex, or Tai stays the system of record. FreightScout writes back. You do not move the book.
What should I ask before I buy?
Ask whether it writes back to the TMS you already run, whether Build, Cover, Track, and Bill are live and supervised by default, and whether booking and outreach can be switched to autopilot. A chat window that does not change the load is not the work.
Where is the price?
On the pricing page. That page is where the platform price and what three seats include are published.
Most freight software watches your business. FreightScout wins freight and then runs it.
