Logistics AI for freight brokers

For freight brokers, logistics AI means an AI layer that does the work on the load, on top of the TMS that records it. AI in logistics is a wide phrase that covers maps, chats, and forwarding tools. On a brokerage floor it means Build, Cover, Track, and Bill, live and supervised by default, on McLeod, Aljex, or Tai. FreightScout is that layer. It is not a TMS.

The short answer: logistics AI, for a broker, is the coworker on the TMS you already run.

Most pages that rank for logistics AI are written for a forwarder, a warehouse, or a generic model. A broker's day is a tender, a rate, a truck, a check call, and an invoice. If the software does not change those, it is not logistics AI for this job.

What it does on a brokerage floor

  1. Build. An email, a PDF, or an EDI tender becomes a load in the TMS you keep.
  2. Cover. Authority and insurance are checked before a rate is discussed. The book stops at your max pay and writes the carrier back.
  3. Track. Check calls in trucking run at pickup, in transit, and at delivery. The answer lands on the load. Exceptions go to a person.
  4. Bill. The POD is matched, the customer invoice goes out with the POD attached, and the payment is chased. Invoicing and collections are live and supervised by default.

Quoting from lane history, an RFP response in the customer's template, and shipper retention scoring are live. Booking and shipper outreach stay supervised until a broker switches them to autopilot. Plans are on the pricing page.

What stays with your people

Build, Cover, Track, and Bill are all live and supervised by default, including invoicing and collections. Your people still own the account, the exception, and any call you would not hand off. Booking the carrier and shipper outreach run supervised by default. A broker can switch either one to autopilot whenever they want, per team and per action. Every action is logged and reversible.

What it does not do

FreightScout is not a TMS and it is not a load board. It is not a broker and it is not a carrier. FreightScout does not replace your load board or your accounting system. It does not invent a rate or a detention amount. A number over your max pay goes to a person.

Questions people actually ask

What is logistics AI for freight brokers?

For freight brokers, logistics AI means an AI layer that does the work on the load, on top of the TMS that records it. FreightScout runs Build, Cover, Track, and Bill on McLeod, Aljex, or Tai. It is not a TMS.

Is this the same as a chatbot or a map?

No. A chatbot answers. A map shows a dot. Logistics AI on a brokerage floor changes the load: built, covered, tracked, or billed, and written back to the TMS you keep.

Is it live?

Yes. Build, Cover, Track, and Bill are live and supervised by default, including invoicing and collections. A broker can switch booking or outreach to autopilot whenever they want.

Most freight software watches your business. FreightScout wins freight and then runs it.
