What is Tender rejection in freight?
A tender rejection is a carrier declining a load the shipper offered under a contract. Carriers reject when the contracted rate is below what the load is worth in the current market, when the truck is not positioned for it, or when the facility is one they avoid. Rejection rates across a market are one of the clearest signals of whether capacity is tightening.
