What is Load rejection in freight?
A load rejection at delivery is the receiver refusing some or all of a shipment, most often for damage, temperature excursion, shortage, or arriving outside the appointment. The freight then has to be returned, reconsigned, or disposed of, and every option costs money that has to be assigned to someone. Rejections are distinct from tender rejections, which happen before the load is ever picked up.
