What it does

1. Read in place. Loads, lanes, and the book stay in the TMS. Scout works from that record instead of asking you to export a spreadsheet.
2. Build. EDI 204, email, and PDF tenders become loads in McLeod, Aljex, or Tai. The tender is checked against the award. A second agent checks each built load.
3. Cover and track. Carriers are vetted, contacted, and booked to your max pay. Check calls run at pickup, transit, and delivery. Status is written back to the load.
4. Bill. POD matched, invoice out with the POD attached, carrier payable created, exceptions caught before they age, payment chased.
5. Quote and keep. Spot and contract quotes come off your own lane cost history. An at-risk account gets a save note drafted to the right contact.

Write-back is the point. A tool that only watches the TMS still leaves the floor to type. FreightScout changes the load in the system you already trust.

What stays with your people

Build, Cover, Track, and Bill are all live and supervised by default, including invoicing and collections. Your people still own the account, the exception, and any call you would not hand off. Booking the carrier and shipper outreach run supervised by default. A broker can switch either one to autopilot whenever they want, per team and per action. Every action is logged and reversible. You still decide which action a team may run without a person in the loop. The dial is per team and per action, and you can turn it back.

What it doesn't do

FreightScout is not a TMS and it is not a load board. It is not a broker and it is not a carrier. FreightScout does not replace DAT, Highway, Truckstop, or your accounting system. It does not invent a rate or a detention amount. A number over your max pay goes to a person. It does not ask you to rip out McLeod, Aljex, or Tai. It does not become a second place where the load "really" lives.
