Live rates next to the lane's history

A broker prices the lane in Aljex before the quote goes to the customer.

Live rates and the lane's history

Aljex's lane pricing page puts live and historical rates in one view. From that view a broker identifies the cost-effective carriers already in the network for the load.

The market price

The live half is named Get Real-Time Market Rates at a Glance. It is where the carrier network is read against the market price on the lane. Aljex offers that screen so the rates are not keyed in by hand.

The history beside it

Access Historical Lane Pricing is the other half of the same view. The historical rate for each lane sits next to the current market price.

The rate, then the bid

The same page names Automatic Rate Confirmation, the confirmation between the broker and the carrier once the rate is set. Beside that heading, Automate Your Bids is Aljex's name for the dispatch process that follows the rate.

Who fits the lane

Lane Pricing also describes the carrier match. An open load is matched from availability, equipment type, and historical lane data.

The draft beside those two rates

FreightScout drafts the customer quote from your lane history or the quote tool you already use. Those two rates on the screen stay Lane Pricing's, and the carrier match stays the one the page already made. The quote you approve is written onto the Lane Pricing record. Aljex stays the system of record for the rate you approve.

Questions buyers ask

What if the lane has no history?

FreightScout does not invent a rate to fill the gap.

When does the customer see the rate?

After you approve it. Nothing goes out before that, and the rate the customer sees is the one on Lane Pricing.
